Parties

I will be hosting the xmas party/yankee swap on Friday Dec. 23rd. If that date doesn't work for anyone, please speak now.

We need to decide on a venue for New Year's. I'd prefer not to host since I'm doing xmas, and I have no time off this holiday season, so one party is enough for me.

Any volunteers?

  1. Van & I had discussed the possibility a couple weeks ago about hosting something on New Years eve - that was until I realized that New Years morning is a Sunday morning!!! grrrrr....

But, who knows? give us some time to think more about it. We'd have the space, it's the time factor right now.

I don't think anyone expects you to host both or all for that matter. You have a life and you should enjoy the parties sometimes, not always work your tail off as hostess.

  2. yeah, liz, nobody expects you to host every little thing. :) there are lots of people with rocking places who could host. you're doing the christmas exchange, i think that's already a lot... you put a lot of work into hosting and you're going to want to spend time with everyone's favourite not-the-prime-minister-of-quebec. :)

  3. quebec always had a prime minister, for that is what a premier is in french. we also have a prime minister.

  4. Hi, Chris and Suzy here: we were thinking that perhaps we would host the New Year's Eve festivities this year. Drinks, nibbles, music, and the count-down? Sound good? Details to come...

  5. Sounds like a plan to me, if Chris & Suzy are willing to host. Let us know what we can bring.

  6. I can't go on the 23rd. My birthday is the 21st, so my Mom and sister are taking me out that night for a birthday date. They booked it with me weeks ago (Mom's learning... ^_^).
