Things are starting to happen

So my Dad called last night and said he is going to bring the backhoe over today. He wants to go over with me the stuff he thinks should be done around back to prevent another flood next winter, as well as extend the driveway around the back of the house so that the trailers full of wood I'll be getting won't wreck my lawn. Not the most eye-catching option, but it's the most practical for me right now. It's not like it's permanent either, in the future if I want to change it I certainly can. Regan will be disappointed with it, I know, but I have to take the cheaper and more practical options right now. You don't get as much choice of things to do when you're a 1 income household.

Dad's also going to trim the weeds down for me so it looks a little less like a jungle, so that will be good. Have to get them hacked down so we can actually tell what areas need lawn. I do have a small area with a couple of plants (done by the previous owner) that I should be weeding out. Maybe I'll tackle that sometime between tonight & Monday.

Never heard a word from that hydroseeding guy. Not even after my Dad ran into him in person. Guess he really doesn't want my business. I will have to find another company.

i think it's wise that you put your driveway around back. also, more parking off the street when we crash at your place and take over your bbq.

Which, so far, has not happened. I keep hearing these idle threats, but no one has shown up and done a random BBQ hit. Not have I found anything burning in my backyard yet.

Anthony, I know how much you love the pallet, but I do have 2 chairs you can burn instead.

Hi Liz
Re: hydroseeding
I have a friend...
no, it's true I do ;-)
... I have a friend who has a landscaping/lawn maintenance company from Quispam who I could refer you to. He is an honest guy who works very hard. He may be able to at least quote a price for you if you're interested.

I can't believe he hasn't bothered calling you back! What's the name of the company (so I know to avoid them in the future)? That's terrible service. *shakes head*

The BBQ crash will happen. Just as soon as it is sunny and we're not busy. ^_^

We took Pete's advice on movers, and we were really pleased with the results.

She called first.

You guys did, however, show up unexpectedly the other night to drop off the strawberry tart. Glad I was dressed at the time!!

Damn, when is a GOOD time to show up, Liz (you know, the not dressed times)?

meh, i had a key, if she wasn't there we were going to leave it in the fridge. the tart, i mean. not liz's clothes. or her bbq.

yeah, you need sunny weather for impromptu bbq-age.

You might want to try that little doorbell button I have on the outside of the house. Knocking is also good. As I do whenever I come over to your house. Hearing the key in the door with no warning kind of freaked me out.

[shakes head at scum]

Peto: thanks. Do you know if he specifically does hydroseeding? Regan is helping me regarding design, but I need someone who can actually do the hydroseeding.

1. When do I get my key?
2. That palette is going the way of the dodo some night next week (6)

I'll come home and there will be firetrucks in the yard, cops there with Anthony in cuffs... "this man says he knows you and that you said it was ok to burn a pallet in your backyard..."

There's this guy named Neall who lives/works out in the valley someplace. Mmm mmm mmm. LOL I know he does work for the Hendersons - as in the butchers from the market. He works out at the gym by the BIG shoppers (old superstore) in Quispam. Look him up. Hehehe! Ok hunt him down. LOL Even if your lawn never gets in he'd be a pretty ornament for your yard. hahaha

Neall?!?!

"Neil! Neeeeeeeeil! Neil!"

Yes he spells his name all fun and exciting just like he looks. Hehehe!

I hope to see you at Julius Casear sometime this, or, next week...
I'M AWESOME IN IT!
Without me, Decious, Caesar never gets to The Senate House where we kill him and there is no play ;-)
