I have settled on June 25th for Hitchcock Night. You're invited and I hope you can come. Perhaps closer to that date people can RSVP so I can get a head count. I'll ask for that later.
I'm also trying to decide which weekend in July to hold the Live Aid viewing. This is also dependent upon whether or not I have a yard that isn't a mudpit. I will likely roll it all into House-iversary weekend. If I don't have a yard, I'll just make it an indoor thing.
We were also discussing dates for the luau. It needs to be during the best weather period, so mid to late July or very early August, I think.
Also planning a shopping trip to Portland, ME for those interested. So far Jenn and I are going for sure. It will have to be during the week in order to get a reasonable price on a hotel room, plus it will be less busy then anyway. Let me know if you're serious about going.

Darn darn darn! I always miss the fun stuff! I'm missing the hitchcock night by one weekend. AHHHH!!! I'm planning to be up there for Canada Day. Sigh. Oh well! Next time. Grrr.
did you decide what you were going to show, liz? scott and i are discussing hitchcock right now. turns out he's seen a whole lot of hitchcock... you should ask him sometime. ;) anyway. NxNW is my vote. what else?
I would love to go on a shopping trip. Do you know when you would be going? Not sure if I could swing it during the week, but I could try ;)
Cyn: Don't worry, it's not like there will be nothing going on for the rest of the summer!! There will be lots more you can attend :)
Mare: Definitely North by Northwest, I also have a pile more I could show, but haven't decided on the 2nd, or 3rd if I show a shorter second film. I bought Rope recently. Then there's the rest of the Signature collection.
FM: It would definitely be August, since that's when Jenn is done summer school. Probably early-mid August I am guessing, but no definite plans yet. Hotel rooms there on the weekend are looking like they're $150 US a night, which is just way out of our price range, so that's why we have to go during the week. Jenn found some great coupons for room rates Sun-Thu on places close to the Maine Mall. I also asked my Dad if I could get a card for Sam's Club, so we can get in there as well.
When you said "anyone" could go to Maine, does that mean me too?
You can use your brother for a reference. Oh, scratch that -- he knows too much! :)
Ohhhh I don't have my nephew the week of August 8th. I think Gary was planning on taking that week off too. Perhaps I could swing this!
Elizabeth mentioned last night at rehearsal that she's probably going to throw our Julius Caesar pre-show cast social on the 25th. D'oh.
Ah, ok then. I guess we will move Hitchcock Night. Again. Busy social calendars!
The other choice for June would be to have it this Saturday. I'll make a main post out of that at lunch.
Shopping trip is probably out of the possibilities for me, since money is of such an issue (see my blog finally updated). Otherwise, I'd be all over that shopping trip like Belinda Stronach on a Liberal Portfolio appointment!
Sorry - had to! ROFLMAO!!
The week of aug 8th is great for me :)
Yea Shopping :)
Hitchcock night is good as the grad ceremony is the night before :)
yeah, this weekend is totally out for me, but hitchock night as it stands is fine. grad's on the 28th for us, the 25th is prom... i can swing by after i scope out the kids in their outfits.
I think the only Hitchcock I've seen ever was "Psycho"... Strange... I'm probably in for that, whenever it is. ^_^
Shopping trip would be sweet, but there is that whole pesky trip to Europe thing and I'm supposed to be saving...
Karen: Sure you can come! It'll be a lot of fun if a whole group of us go down.
Ack! The Hitchcock party is moving? Oh geez. LOL And I was talking with Roomie last night about options for a visit that weekend as well just for this reason since he wants to visit a friend up there. Ack! Oh well. We hadn't actually agreed to make the trip yet. I guess I'm simply doomed to miss the party. Just have to accept my fate.
